Trio Dreamscope is a newly formed ensemble consisting of Matti Bye, Laura Naukkarinen, and Eduardo Raon — three internationally acclaimed silent film musicians who, after decades of accompanying the classics of cinema, have come together to explore new artistic territory.
With roots in traditional silent film accompaniment but a forward-looking vision, the trio seeks out experimental forms of collaboration where acoustic instruments, electronics, and improvisation intersect. Their work moves freely between film score, contemporary music, and sound art, creating unique soundscapes that challenge and expand the perception of silent film music today. Rather than recreating the past, Trio Dreamscope embraces the silent film tradition as a living art form — one that invites experimentation, risk-taking, and dialogue with contemporary audiences.
